U.S. News & World Report Ranks ECPI University Online Bachelor’s Programs Top 10 Percent

A recent report by Digital Learning Compass revealed that there are approximately 6,000,000 Americans currently enrolled in higher education distance courses. What’s more, 30 percent of all college students are taking at least one online course. As interest in online learning continues to rise, greater emphasis is being placed on measuring student success. Simply put, online education is an experience unto itself. In the virtual classroom, faculty members must be skilled not just in the discipline they teach, but also in the nuances that online learning requires. Learning systems also vary in quality. To separate the experts from the rest of the pack, U.S. News & World Report produces an annual ranking of America’s best online colleges and universities.

In its latest report,  survey editors ranked ECPI University among the nation’s best for online Bachelor degree programs based on performance within four categories:

  • Student Engagement – Programs encourage participation among students and create avenues for them to interact with faculty and fellow classmates.
  • Student Services and Technology – Faculty use advanced teaching technologies and simulation software that replicate the in-seat experience. Staff provides students with highly-accessible financial, academic, and career service advisors.
  • Faculty Credentials and Training – Faculty are well credentialed and trained to accommodate the needs of distance learners.
  • Peer Reputation – Based on feedback from highly-regarded academic officials and employers.

With approximately 1,000 colleges and universities currently offering online programs, the

U.S. News & World Report ranking (94th) places ECPI University among the nation’s best. “Our staff has been working diligently to provide the best educational experience for our students,” says ECPI University Vice President of eLearning and Online Education Aaron Wettstein. “Our faculty and curriculum provides an engaging learning environment where our students are prepared for real-world, in-demand careers using the latest innovative technologies.”

That means engaging students once a week through live Zoom lecture sessions, along with on-demand tutoring. And with advances in virtualization and simulation, faculty members are also able to create a hands-on learning environment through ECPI University’s user-friendly learning management system or its popular Mobile APP 2.0. As Aaron Wettstein likes to say, “Our motto is that ECPI University Online bridges the ‘distance’ in distance education.”
