At ECPI University, serving our military community is a responsibility we take seriously. In 2022, the university was recognized for its commitment by both Military Times and the Virginia Department of Veteran Services.
“Whether it’s an active- duty service member earning their degree, a veteran ECPI graduate working in their field, or a military spouse staff member, the entire university system is committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment for our military.”– Bill Brown, Executive Director of Military Education
For the 11th consecutive year, ECPI University made the Military Times’ 2022 Best for Vets: Education list. In addition, ECPI was also recognized in Military Times 2022 Best for Vets: Employers rankings. The employer rankings are the result of a voluntary survey that covers a company’s policies and practices for current employees and future job seekers within the military community. ECPI University was one of just five educational institutions to make the Employers list.
“Over 10% of ECPI University’s faculty and staff, and nearly 35% of the university’s student base, are connected to the military community,” says ECPI University President Mark Dreyfus. “Supporting and honoring their sacrifice is a core ECPI University value, and we deeply respect the leadership and experience our military-affiliated faculty and staff bring to our university.”
Later this fall, ECPI University also received the 2022 Institution Award at the Virginia Department of Veteran Services’ Student Veteran and Educator Summit. The Institution Award is presented to an education or training facility in recognition of its significant contributions to the cause of military education and supplies quality programs to the armed services.
Executive Director of Military Education Bill Brown and his team were there to accept the award. “Whether it’s an active- duty service member earning their degree, a veteran ECPI graduate working in their field, or a military spouse staff member, the entire university system is committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment for our military,” says Brown, a proud Army veteran himself.
Military-affiliated ECPI University students, faculty and staff can rest assured that this commitment to their success will continue for years to come.
