ECPI University is proud to announce a partnership with STEM Premier to attract, engage, and develop the future workforce for South Carolina’s growing economy. Expanding industries include needs in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, business, and information technology occupations.
What is STEM Premier? Think of the efforts used across our country to build a pipeline of talent in certain popular sports. It’s much the same, but for jobs requiring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skills, which, if you think about it, is nearly every field. Creating a talent profile is free for anyone at www.stempremier.com and ECPI University students are granted a lifetime profile without any future charges.
As the website explains, “STEM Premier assists all levels of STEM talent in identifying career pathways, educators in recruiting top talent to their schools, and employers in developing a stable, continuous talent pipeline.” In other words, it’s a singular, online ecosystem where students (ages 13 to PhD level), educators, and employers may find each other. Schools and employers can offer scholarships, events, internships, jobs and more, while students showcase their interests, skills, and credentials.
Additionally, STEM Premier spurs students to continuously strengthen their profiles by producing an annual list of the top 100 STEM students in the U.S. The result is promotion of the students and competition among employers to recruit them for their future workforce.
With a long list of large and small employers, educators, and a broad database of talent profiles, this is an excellent way to solve the skills-gap problem. ECPI University is excited and proud to partner with STEM Premier in building a better workforce.
