William Daniels, a Cyber and Network Security student at the Raleigh campus, recently attended the ISSA 2018 Security Summit and completed training conducted by Palo Alto Networks and National Digital Forensics.

Mr. Karl Gyorfy, a member of the Cyber and Network Security faculty at the Raleigh campus, was elected to a two-year term on the board of directors for the Raleigh chapter of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA).
Brandalyn Harper, a member of the Communications faculty at the Columbia campus, was recently featured in Career College Central for earning her Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) certification.
Dr. Crystal Lane-Tillerson, RN-BSN Director at the Newport News campus, recently presented at the Association of Black Nursing Faculty (ABNF) Conference in London. She spoke about her manuscript, “Evaluating the Efficacy of a Behavior Modification Program in Overweight African American Adolescents…Revisiting the Literature,” which will be published in this fall’s edition of the ABNF Journal.
Bryan Jacobs, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of Virginia, was recently honored with a Veteran Small Business Award. Jacobs is the founder of Vets2Success, an organization that supports vets – and their families – struggling with PTSD. The group also offers programs to train and mentor homeless and displaced veterans in the culinary world.
