As we begin a new year, many of us take time to set goals and make resolutions. In 2017, I would like to encourage you to consider participating in one of ECPI University’s many volunteer opportunities. These activities are part of what makes us who we are. At ECPI University, we build relationships with the broader community, not only through academic and professional partnerships, but also by doing our part to make our corner of the world a better place to live.

Volunteering makes us all better. It strengthens us as an institution and provides a deep sense of satisfaction. In the process, the students, faculty, and staff who are most active also end up becoming some of our most effective leaders. Volunteering builds character and teaches you how to work with others as a team. Moreover, most employers prefer to hire people who volunteer.
In this edition of eConnect, you will meet some of the many people across our campuses who make service to others a priority. I hope you will be inspired to join them.
