Message from the President

Now that the vaccine has been widely available for adults and we see transmission and risk rates decreasing, it’s time to get back to a new “normal”. As such, we are striving to get students back into classrooms as early as possible. The new “normal’ will include some remote classrooms but the fact remains, adult students stay on track and retain information better when in a classroom setting. The goal moving forward is to balance the best education process with convenience, technology, and support.

We’ve also found that when the pressure was on, we had to find new ways to make remote learning as effective as possible. On that count, our faculty and curriculum team rose to the occasion. In this edition of eConnect, we are proud to showcase some of the learning technologies we have employed during this time of pandemic. We always seek to ensure that the technology used in the classroom and online is as impactful as possible although innovation was at an accelerated pace. What’s most exciting is that many of these enhancements will lead to more innovation and continue to be of great use for future students.

“Everyone experiences tough times; it is a measure of your determination and dedication how you deal with them and how you can come through them.”

– Lakshmi Mittal

Sincerely,

Mark Dreyfus
