Group study in the library is not new, but new technology has provided many more attractive options. All ECPI University campus libraries offer Wi-Fi and computer workstations with Internet access and/or a library computer lab. The Newport News campus new Media Nook collaboration work station is specifically designed for group work with in-table wiring for laptops and wireless outlets with an adjacent large LCD monitor. Wireless charging stations for phones and tablets are now available at the Virginia Beach, Newport News, Greensboro and Charlotte campus libraries. They are portable and can be easily moved by students around the library study areas.

The Virginia Beach library offers a Conference room and another conference-sized table for large groups. Stress relief events in the library are often planned to coincide when Health Science students form study groups for NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN exams. Reservations are taken in advance for a maximum four-hour period. A computer, overhead projector, colored markers and a large white board are also provided. These options are a continuation of the University Libraries plan to provide spaces for the growing demand for student study and collaboration activities.
