ECPI University was designated a 2022-23 Military Friendly® School, with a Silver ranking in the Non Traditional Schools category by VIQTORY Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM and Military Spouse. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2022-2023 survey, with 665 earning special awards.
“Being named a Military Friendly® School means we have the programs, policies and standards that military and veteran students are looking for,” says ECPI University Executive Director of Military Education Bill Brown, a former Army officer himself. “Our university has a deep respect and admiration for all that our military, veterans and their dependents have experienced. That’s why ECPI University faculty and our support staff stand ready to help our military students find success in the classroom.”
Why are designations like Military Friendly® important? For service members and their families, The Military Friendly® Schools designation provides a transparent rating for post-military education and career opportunities. It’s a tool they can use to easily recognize schools actively working to provide programs and meet standards.
VIQTORY selects Military Friendly® institutions using methodology within 6 different categories and input from an advisory council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Schools earning the Military Friendly® School designation are evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.
Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for:
• Job Placement
• Loan Repayment
• Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer)
• Loan Default rates for all students,
specifically student veterans
• Student Retention
The 2022-23 Military Friendly® Schools list were published in the May issue, and will be again in the October 2022 issue, of G.I. Jobs® magazine. It can be also found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
