The Charleston ECPI University campus was honored to host this year’s Phi Beta Lambda State Conference. Students from all over South Carolina gathered to compete in test-based events, obtain professional development skills, and shape their career goals through workshops, networking, and leadership recognition.
Professional members from the community served as workshop presenters and judges to help participants hone skills required for the workforce such as public speaking, accounting and finance, website design, job interviewing, client services, networking concepts, and leadership skills. Students also learned how to start and market their own business, become a professionally-published author, and serve as leaders in their communities. Moreover, ECPI University garnered first and second place in the following PBL SC competitions:
- Business Presentation
Karen Sheppard, 2nd - Cyber Security
Jerrel Cooper, 2nd - Impromptu Speaking
Ariel Smith, 2nd - Public Speaking
Simon Andrews, 2nd - Networking Concepts
Michael Allen, 2nd - Networking Concepts
